Part of the Brisbane Improv Festival workshop series!
The Beat Cafe with Rik Brown
Come and let the language loose!
This workshop focuses on finding the joy in words and uses Spoken Word poetry to help free our minds and our tongues. The Beat Cafe format then uses these improvised spoken word poems to inspire characters scenes and stories.
A great chance to stretch some different improv muscles while also flexing some that are already no doubt well defined.
Workshop length: 3 hours
Recommended experience level: Intermediate (1 - 3 years experience)
Participants need to know: Come ready to have fun!
Participants in this workshop may be selected to perform in the show The Beat Cafe. Participation in the workshop does not guarantee being cast in the show, please advise the facilitator on the day if you do not wish to be considered for the cast.
