Part of the Brisbane Improv Festival workshop series!

Everybody Dance Now with Jaklene Vukasinovic

Ever been on stage when a musical number starts, and you don't know what to do? While everyone else looks ready to cut footloose, you feel more like anything you might do will result in some not-so-flashdance?

In Everybody Dance Now, we'll explore physicality and space, build a vocabulary of the most fundamental basics; and work in groups to develop and share simplified, effective movement on stage.

So step up! This workshop is for everyone: people who don't have confidence in their movement, people who love dancing and want to do more on the impro stage, and everyone in between.

Workshop length: 3 hours
Recommended experience level: Beginner and up!
Participants need to know: There will be a lot of loud music playing and a fair amount of dance/movement throughout the workshop. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your own waterbottle.
This workshop is being held at Spring Hill Studio. This venue has wheelchair accessible access but does not have an accessible bathroom. More information is available here.
