The Chorus of Chaos

  • New Farm Neighbourhood Centre 967 Brunswick Street New Farm, QLD, 4005 Australia (map)

Part of the Brisbane Improv Festival workshop series!

The Chorus of Chaos with Liam Webber & Nick Harriott

The Chorus of Chaos is wild and crazy deep-dive into improvising large cast musical numbers. In musical theatre, the "Chorus" is the group of singers and dancers support the featured actors… Think the trio of gospel singers in Hercules or the unimpressed Greek villagers in Mamma Mia!

So for an afternoon the leading actors will take a back seat as we focus on the wider ensemble. We’ll be singing big cast songs, creating scenes, shapes, and meaning with our choreography, and generally having a rootin’ tootin’ good time.

Workshop length: 3 hours
Recommended experience level: Intermediate (1 - 3 years experience)
Participants need to know: This will be a physically involved workshop with a lot of noise and singing. Wear comfortable clothes and bring your own waterbottle.
This workshop is being held in The Grand Room at the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre. This venue is wheelchair accessible. More information on the venue is available here.
