MELT FESTIVAL - Thank God You’re Queer

  • Brisbane Powerhouse New Farm, QLD, 4005 Australia (map)

Big Fork Theatre and Second Beat Productions

“Thank God You’re Queer” is a fabulous gay twist on Australia’s most successful improvised show.

Join Brisbane’s finest LGBTQI+ improvisers as they bring to life a kaleidoscope of scenes inspired by the real-life queer experiences of the audience. But here’s the exciting twist: each scene features a special guest improviser, all of whom may be exploring queer territory for the first time. Yes, they’re all straight. Our guest improvisers are out of their depth and just want to be good allies, will they make it through unscathed – probably not.

This is a joyous celebration of queer life that gleefully turns heteronormativity on its head, without ever losing its sense of playfulness. It’s stupid, silly, and a whole lot of gay fun!

“Packed with imaginative flights of fancy and laugh-out-loud moments” – Stage Whispers (Big Fork Theatre)
