Square Pegs
Square Pegs is a split bill stand-up comedy show by Georgie Row and Louisa Jones.
As two (neurodivergent) thirty-somethings, Louisa and Georgie each bring their own take on the decade. The show addresses the highs and lows of new motherhood, tales from a career in HR, dating, and an addiction to health fads that promise quick fixes with minimal effort. This show brings the laughs with a mix of the strikingly relatable and utterly unhinged.
Louisa is a comedian, writer and improviser based in Brisbane who has written and performed in the Anywhere Festival, Brisbane Fringe Festival and Brisbane Comedy Festival. She spent two months in the United States in 2023, training at iO Theatre and Second City as well as performing stand-up comedy in Chicago and New York. Louisa appears regularly on the Big Fork Theatre stage and Brisbane stand-up scene.
Georgie is a comedian and writer from Brisbane. An ex-lawyer with a background in theatre performance and direction, she has also written and produced sketch comedy. Georgie has undertaken training with the National Institute of Dramatic Art and the Cours Florent theatre school in Paris. She appears regularly on the Brisbane stand-up scene.
Together, Georgie and Louisa bring you a comedy hour that will keep you wildly entertained, whether you're preparing for, living in or fondly remembering the exciting (and often confusing) ride that is your thirties.

Poop Joggers - Improvised Comedy Show
Brisbane improv comedy juggernaut Poop Joggers are hitting the stage!
Between 2017-2018 the quiet Brisbane suburb of Greenslopes was preyed upon by a corporate executive (CE) and his foul behaviour. On at least 30 different occasions this CE would go for a jog in the wee hours of the morning and defecate on a residential apartment block. After a successful sting operation by the residents, the CE was caught and given the nickname Poo Jogger.
From this story, four of the best improv comedians Taylor Edwards, Chris Milne, Coen Gilbert and Chris Martin (all from Greenslopes) teamed up and the improv comedy juggernaut that is the Poop Joggers was born. They have been tearing up comedy stages around Brisbane for 2 years now PLUS they sold out their show at the 2023 Brisbane Improv Festival. Their shows are always wild and so so funny!
The Poop Joggers are the true definition of the proverb - "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade." They are hilarious lemonade!

I’ve always known I’m a ridiculous human being—clumsy, absent-minded, and one bad decision away from being a walking PSA. But then I became a parent, and the universe threw me a curveball: a daughter who seems destined to follow in my chaotic footsteps.
This show is about my desperate, hilarious attempt to break the cycle and give her a fighting chance at normalcy. Can I teach her the life skills I’ve never mastered? Or am I doomed to raise the next generation of lovable disaster?

Nonsense and Sensibility is the social event of the season, allowing audiences to enter the loose and hilarious world of Jane Austen as interpreted by three esteemed individuals of good standing, one of whom has read multiple Austen novels.
Just as Mr Darcy emerged from the lake of his private estate, Caitlin, Liz and Rhys emerged from their 2023 Big Fork Theatre Cage Match victory (as Eric Bana Montana) and captured hearts at the 2024 Brisbane Improv Festival and ITS Comedy Fest with Nonsense and Sensibility, showcasing Regency era tales that entertain Austen die-hards and newcomers alike.

Culprits are back! Two of Brisbane’s favourite improvisers reunite to perform a completely improvised play before your eyes, but now one is a father and the other bought a new couch!
After two years off, Brisbane’s favourite improv duo are back to perform a two-person improvised play with way more than two characters. No tricks, no gimmicks, just two actors making everything up as they go along, all inspired by a single word from the audience.
“We were promised at the beginning of the performance that everything we would see would be completely improvised. After the show, my group could barely believe it... to our untrained eyes, it was too perfect and too funny to fit our meagre understanding of improvisation. Wish you could have been a character in Middle-Earth or Westeros? Have you played fantasy games on the screen, and want more depth? Do you like to sit with friends and tell stories? Then learn to play Dungeons & Dragons!
This event is for absolute beginners. No prep, nothing to bring. No previous gaming experience needed. Hundreds of beginners have first learned D&D at this event—join them!
Find this event at Big Fork Theatre, Lv 2, 252 St Pauls Terrace, Fortitude Valley.
Parking available at garages nearby but pricey—consider starting your adventure on the train instead, a 5-minute walk away.
This event is free, but we ask for donations. For 15+ only -- it can get violent and profane, like Game of Thrones from a first-person perspective. We follow all health guidelines stringently. If symptomatic in any way, please do not attend -- we don't want to catch a cold, flu, or Covid. We actively include people of all kinds and promote a respectful attitude among all our players.
