That 90s Sitcom & Nonsense and Sensibility - Brisbane Improv Festival

  • Big Fork Theatre 252 Saint Pauls Terrace Fortitude Valley, QLD, 4000 Australia (map)

Join us for a double feature of improvised sitcoms and Jane Austen scandal. Part of the Brisbane Improv Festival!

That 90s Sitcom
Presented by Malcolm Morrison (Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington, Aotearoa/New Zealand)

Sitcoms: we know them and love them for their cheesy, wholesome antics. From the canned laughter, to being unemployed yet able to afford a massive apartment. That 90s Sitcom recreates what it is like to watch a Sitcom as the live studio audience and is set to be raucous fun! With a cast of talented improvisers all across Australasia, and powered by the ImprovFX software and an absurd amount of stock photos - you choose the the location and we'll bring it on screen to create the full Sitcom experience.

Nonsense and Sensibility: Improvised Jane Austen
Presented by Rhys McCane, Caitlin McGrath and Liz Talbot (Meanjin/Brisbane, Australia)

Caitlin, Liz and Rhys have emerged from the lake at Mr Darcy’s private estate - and they look so handsome that they just might capture your heart. Enter the world of Jane Austen as interpreted by three esteemed individuals of good standing, one of whom has read multiple Austen novels. Nonsense and Sensibility is the social event of the season, brought to you by Big Fork’s 2023 Cage Match Brawl-Off champions.
