FRINGE BRISBANE: POLES: The Science of Magnetic Attraction (TART Theatre Collective)

All aboard the Hot Mess Express.

Cora is 23, self-obsessed, and a compulsive liar* (*harmless bullshitter). She’s also a stripper.

A year on from a best-friends-to-lovers break-up, and Cora’s not doing great. Inadvertently providing some sort of therapy service to strip club patrons, she’s probably in need of therapy herself. Lonely, directionless, and doing her best to outrun it all, perhaps all Cora needs to learn is that it’s ok to just be a mess.

POLES is a tragically funny story of growing up, strip clubs, the stigma of monetising your body, and the quest for something more.
