Part of the Brisbane Improv Festival workshop series!
Silly Odyssey: Improvising a Hero's Journey with Tom North
In this workshop, students will learn the narrative improv format ‘Silly Odyssey’ with the potential to be cast in that night’s show.
The exercises are designed to help students build up their storytelling skills and how to maximize their fun without losing track of the story.
We’ll be focusing on quickly finding your character’s motivation, world-building and story structure. And in doing so, we’ll find the space to get wild and weird with our offers, and still end up with a story that makes sense!
Workshop length: 3 hours
Recommended experience level: Intermediate (1 - 3 years experience)
Participants need to know: Participants in this workshop may be selected to perform in the show Silly Odyssey. Participation in the workshop does not guarantee being cast in the show, please advise the facilitator on the day if you do not wish to be considered for the cast.
