Create a one-person-show with comedian Marcel Blanch-de Wilt!

Where do we begin when it comes to creating a one-person-show that will captivate the crowd? Across this workshop, Marcel will demystify the experience of building a show and provide you with the tools to ensure the process is approachable and fun. Through a series of exercises, discussions, and activities, you will leave this workshop feeling inspired and ready to take on your next project.

About Marcel:

Marcel is a comedian, improviser, writer, and director. He has won awards for his work on-stage and behind-the-scenes. He has performed in every capital city in Australia as well as NZ, USA, and the UK. Marcel performs alongside his wife in their improv duo, The Newlyweds. He has been teaching a range of performance styles since 2015. His specialties include improvisation and stand-up but he also loves clowning, and character comedy. He has trained with Joe Bill, Dr Brown, Zach Zucker, Patti Styles, Andel Sudek, Steen Raskopoulos, and more. Marcel is an in-demand director and has built several shows with a heap of talented folk including Lizzy Hoo, Steph Broadbridge, Ting Lim, and Eleanor Stankiewicz.

Big Fork Theatre is dedicated to long form improvisation in the Chicago and New York style, as made famous by Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Mike Meyers.  Big Fork primarily focuses on comedic improvisation.

Big Fork's teachers have many years experience both in teaching and performing, many of whom have traveled around the world to learn from some of the best improv teachers there are.  Our teachers are committed to creating a fun and enriching environment to learn in and grow the Brisbane improvisational community.
