Brisbane Improv Festival - a celebration of improvised comedy in Brisbane 22 - 29 July
Facilitated by Matt Powell (Locomotive - Aotearoa/NZ)
This workshop explores how a large chorus of improvisors can create atmosphere through physicality and spontaneous choreography. Using horror as a jumping-off point, we will play around with the mechanics of making group offers that shape a scene, culminating in a show, Don't See This Show Alone.
Everyone who attends the workshop will be invited to perform in the show. Please bring plain black clothing for the performance.
Content note: We will be asking audience members for their real fears as inspiration for the show and attempting to make something genuinely scary. This may not be for you if you are easily spooked out.
