Big Fork and COVID-19 Update

Dear Comedy Heroes

Like everyone, we are very concerned to make sure our community and the broader community is safe. Due to the rapidly changing nature of the advice and the spread of the virus, we are taking the step of cancelling all Big Fork public events until further notice. This means we will not be holding any Big Fork Jams or shows (Big Fork Fridays, Thursdays and Get It* Inya) until further notice. Students currently enrolled in classes will be contacted directly so keep an eye out if that is you. Things are changing quickly around containment and social isolation for COVID-19, and while that is the case we feel it would not be right to continue on as if everything is normal. It is not worth the risk to our community, or their family, or their friends.

Our Term 2 classes starting in May are currently remaining open for registration. A further decision on how to proceed with these will be made mid-April after further advice can be sought. A full refund or transfer to a future class will be offered to all purchasers should these classes also be cancelled.

Thanks for your understanding in this difficult time. We will be paying close attention to the public health advice and will reassess mid-April and provide updates on when events will resume.

In the mean time, we will process refunds and don’t worry - Big Fork isn’t going anywhere! Keep an eye out on our social media for updates about the virtual funny stuff our fantastic Big Fork community will undoubtedly be getting into!

More info on the public health response and what you can do is here on the Queensland Health Website https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19
